Havells India Surges on Expectation New Lamps Will Boost Sales
Havells India Ltd.,Pearl earrings, #xa maker of power- distribution equipment,Energy saving lamp rose as much as 6.9 percent in Mumbai trading on expectations its new energy-saving lamps will boost sales.
The stock rose 5.2 percent to 566.9 rupees as of 3:04 p.m. local time, poised for its steepest climb in a month.
“Revenue and profitability may jump,” said Viral Shah, #xan analyst at Sushil Financial Consultants Ltd. in Mumbai.
Havells may get 1 billion rupees ($21.6 million) a year from ceramic metal halide lamp sales, joint Managing Director Anil Gupta told CNBC-TV18 in an interview televised today.
