Democrats in Washington are well aware of the mess they've made. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) recently revealed her party's closing argument for health-care reform by stating, #x"We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy"—as if the steadfast public opposition to this bill is one giant misunderstanding. It's not. The American people have been laser-focused on this bill for a year, aromaticand have only become more opposed to this job-killing monstrosity.

Medicare, Medicaid, and other government programs already pay for almost half of American health care,#x while private insurance pays for barely more than a third (the rest is mostly out-of-pocket expenses). The only part of health care in which there isn’t already a lot of federal intervention is the market in which individuals who can’t get employment-based coverage buy their own insurance. (As did we. For whatever reason, the movies have had more success with war-in-Europe stories than with war-in-the-Pacific stories like Letters from Iwo Jima and The Thin Red Line. Even WWII videogames, like Call of Duty, involve Nazi-fighting more often than Pacific-war scenarios.)
In the other theater, The Pacific makes painfully clear in its early episodes, the Marines that it follows had no idea what they were getting into. On the one hand, the war was simple: Japan attacked the U.S. at Pearl Harbor, and now we were going to get those bastards back. What happens if a renter wants solar power?

Sometimes called solar gardens or farms, the idea is that utilities build the arrays, and customers — renters,托盘, people with shady roofs and even condo owners — can buy a share.
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District runs such a program, called “Solar Shares.” It serves up to 1,000 customers and is currently sold out. The concept has also appeared in St. George, Utah and Falmouth, Mass., (the Falmouth array was privately financed up-front, as was a similar project in Brewster, Mass.).
The utility in Tucson, Ariz., is also seeking regulatory approval to build Metal halide bulbsa community array near the airport, on land that would be difficult to develop otherwise.
“This program was developed in response to customers who have told us they would like to invest in solar energy for their own home but for one reason or another are not candidates for a rooftop solar array,” said Joe Salkowski, a spokesman for Tucson Electric Power.
As with all solar energy, buying into community solar isn’t cheap. The Sacramento program adds about 9 percent on average to customers’ bills. Under the Tucson proposal, customers would be able to buy 150 kilowatt-hour shares for $3 extra #x(though they can subtract the fossil fuel surcharge Metal halide bulbsthat would otherwise appear on their bill).

(Reuters) - A Chicago insurance salesman was sentenced to 30 months #xin prisonHydraulic pump on Monday for making nude videos through hotel peepholes of television sports reporter Erin Andrews and posting them on the Internet.
Michael Barrett, 48, had pleaded guilty to stalking Andrews over an 18-month period and removing the peepholes from the doors of at least three different hotel rooms to shoot video of her naked on his mobile phone.
After a celebrity web site turned down buying the videos, Barrett posted 10 of them on the Internet, identifying the ESPN reporter as the victim.
Barrett was sentenced by a federal judge in Los Angeles Hydraulic pumpon Monday and ordered to pay Andrews $7,Construction Equipment,366 in restitution.
Andrews, 31, told Monday's sentencing hearing that she still suffers fear, anxiety and public humiliation as a result of having been stalked.
"I'm being victimized every day...and I did nothing to deserve it," Andrews said, adding the videos will likely always be on the Internet.
"I'm living public humiliation. It's my body that's on the Internet...He stalked me, he terrorized me -- this will never be over for me, and I don't want it to ever be over for you," she said, looking at Barrett.
Barrett apologized, saying; "I have no words to adequately tell Miss Andrews how sorry I am for what I've done to her. I hope that one day she will forgive me."
At least 16 other women were victimized by Barrett in the same way, according to court papers. Their names were not revealed but the court papers described them as "female sports reporters and other television personalities."
Andrews, who was voted America's "sexiest sportscaster"#x by Playboy magazine in 2007 and 2008, will Hydraulic pumpbe one of the celebrity contestants in the upcoming season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars", starting on March 22.

The government aims to overhaul the special accounts as part of efforts to restore its tattered finances. Japan's public debt is running at nearly twice the size of GDP, the highest ratio among its peers in the developed world.
Any review of the forex special account could lead to a drastic overhaul of its management, as some lawmakers want to get
returns on investment by managing the interest income from the forex reserves separately from the account.
Currently the finance ministry manages Japan's $1 trillion in forex reserves -- the bulk of which are held in U.S. Treasuries

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Several studiesaromatic have shown that smokers have a lower risk of developing Parkinson's disease#x. A new study shows that it's how many years of smoking a person has under their belt -- rather than how much they smoke every day -- that matters.
"Smoking is bad for you and no one should advocate smoking just for prevention of Parkinson's," Dr. Honglei Chen of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, one of the study's authors, emphasized in comments to Reuters Health. But the findings could help researchers who are trying to figure out the underlying cause of the disease, Chen added. "Ultimately it's going to take a multidisciplinary approach to understand this question."
Chen's team looked at 305,468 men and women aged 50 and older enrolled in the National Institutes of Health-American Association of Retired Persons Diet and Health Study. Over 10 years of follow-up,Grow lights, 1,662 developed Parkinson's disease, or about one-half of one percent.
The researchers found that the more years that aromatica person had smoked, the lower their risk of Parkinson's disease. For example, past smokers who had smoked at least a pack a day for less than 10 years were 4 percent less likely to develop Parkinson's disease than non-smokers; the risk was 22 percent lower in those who'd smoked for 10 to 19 years; 36 percent lower with 20 to 29 years of smoking; and 41 percent lower with 30 years or more.
The risk of developing Parkinson's disease did not change based on how many cigarettes a person smoked each day.
When the researchers looked back at study participants' early smoking behavior, they found that the people who developed Parkinson's disease were actually less likely to be smokers at a given age than those who didn't develop Parkinson's, and were able to quit sooner; this raises the possibility that Parkinson's #xpatients aromaticwere somehow less vulnerable to the addictive effects of smoking, the researchers say.

In the past, I've talked about the Atari 2600's #xsuccess stories—and PVC Fabricto be fair, there were quite a few. The console's limitations invited developers to get creative with arcade adaptations as well as their own creations.
Unfortunately, those same limitations tripped up games that should have been easy to develop. Whenever the Atari 2600 failed at its task, it fell down hard. One of the best examples of epic Atari failure lies with the 2600's port of Pac-Man, released in 1981.
Pac-Man was a piping hot property at the dawn of the '80s, so it's understandable why Atari would want the arcade sensation ported to the 2600. Programmer Todd Frye was ordered to adapt the original Pac-Man as fast as humanly possible. What followed was a lesson about time versus quality: a game can be released on a ridiculous schedule, or it can be a quality job, but it can rarely be both.
Since Pac-Man's main appeal isn't based on its graphics PVC Fabric(though they certainly carry their own charm),托盘, Atari figured a port to the 2600 would be an easy low-cost, high-profit project. Todd Frye was supposedly stuck working with Atari's 4KB ROM cartridges rather than its more expensive 8KB cartridges, and he had to have everything done in six weeks. Obviously, something in Frye's adaptation was going to have to go. But even though compromise practically defined the 2600's existence, nobody expected Atari's Pac-Man to be so far removed from everything that made Namco's classic quarter-muncher worthwhile.
Pac-Man's graphics were first to go under the knife. Whereas the rounded blue maze walls in the original Pac-Man still remain a visual reminder of what precisely drew us to '80s arcade culture, the mazes in the 2600 version of the game were ugly and repetitious with uniform orange walls against a blue background. Dots became dash-like “wafers,” and Power Pellets were represented by blocks. Even the trademark bonus fruits were replaced by an orange box that looked like a piece of Bonker's fruit candy. Poor Pac-Man. I cringe for your digestion.
Even the Man himself suffered under the cuts. Gone was his furious munching animation, which was replaced with a slow chewing motion. Pac-Man #xdidn't change directions when he traveled up or down corridors, which gave the impression that he was consuming wafersPVC Fabric through the top of his head, or, uh, somewhere else.
