Berman moving DirecTV or Network

Chris Berman has been the face of ESPN for a long, long time but his contract is expiring in a few months and Sports by Brooks is reporting that DirecTV is supposedly trying to sign him.
Brooks is reporting that DirecTV "is in full pursuit of the longtime broadcaster." DirecTV apparently wants Berman for the Red Zone Channel as well as on a channel that is in progress for Dan Patriot.
Meanwhile, the NFL news is supposedly after Berman as well, according to The Big Lead. One thing going for the Network is that its president is Steve Bornstein, who Berman is supposedly close pals with after they worked together at ESPN.
ESPN is tired. the only people worth watching is Chris Berman and Stuart Scott. this happened 30 years ago, people were tired of Bob Costas and Brent Musberger. ESPN and Chris Berman came on in 1979. ESPN is now the establishment and really bad. they need some competition. Andrew Siciliano is excellent on the Red Zone channel. No need for a change there. But DirecTV needs to start something to give us a choice. If you have one, I believe more and more you'll turn away from ESPN.
We're in the same place as 30 years ago. ESPN dominates and has become terrible. Please do this DirecTV.
I used to like Berman, but now I will turn on Sunday morning, he stops in NFL scores mid sentence, the whole panel laughs and I have no idea what's going on. Yes, he is played out. Stuart Scott and his silly stats I really cannot stand. If he is on I just change the channel.
